APCC to launch campaign to collect 1 Cr signatures on Polavaram

Hyderabad, Feb 4, 2015: APCC President Raghuveera Reddy said here on Wednesday that his party will collect one crore signatures to bring pressure on the Centre to build the Polavaram project. Addressing a press meet, Raghuveera Reddy disclosed that he will launch the signature campaign at Polavaram on Feb 6. He said the Congress Party will also bring pressure on the Central government to implement the provisions of the AP Bifurcation Act in letter and spirit. "We will raise the issue in Parliament too and demand speedy implementation of the Act," he said, adding that the party will hold brain-storming session at Vijayawada on Feb 13 and 14 to discuss several issues hunting the state.
