100-story Telangana Secretariat to come up at Chest Hospital?

Hyderabad, Jan 28, 2015: The Telangana Government has plans to build a new Secretariat at the sprawling 62-acre chest hospital at Errrgadda in Hyderabad after shifting it to Vikarabad, 50 km off Hyderabad. Reports said that the Government has decided to build a 100-story complex to house State Secretariat and other offices as part of its plan to have all offices at one place. The state government thought that the Chest Hospital campus would be very ideal for housing the Secretariat and other State level offices at a single campus. Hence it has virtually decided to shift the hospital to Vikarabad. However, the staff of the Chest Hospital including doctors, administrative staff and health workers working in the hospital are dead against the proposed shifting. They have launched an agitation since Tuesday opposing the shifting and are threatening to intensify the agitation.
