Capital region farmers meet Venkaiah, seek better compensation

Vijayawada, Jan 24, 2015: Farmers of the AP Capital Region had met Union Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu here this morning and asked him to ensure they are given a better economic package for their lands being taken for the construction of capital city. Most of the farmers who met him are from the Tullur area. They complained to him that Government had offered him a less beneficial financial package for their lands. Venkaiah Naidu, who listened to their appeals very carefully , promised them he would strive for a better package for them. "But first let me speak to the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu," he told them.
