D-Link to set up operations in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Jan 23: D-Link Corporation, a Taiwanese multinational networking equipment manufacturing company, plans to set up an office here that will generate 1,000 jobs. Telangana's Information Technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao told reporters Friday that the company's president A.P. Chen was here recently and he conveyed that they want to set up 1,000 employee offices. The minister said he might visit Taiwan to hold further talks with D-Link officials. "We would like to house them in Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) at Maheswaram. The place is yet to be finalised," he said, adding that "to have D-Link will be good start to give impetus to EMC". Stating that Hyderabad remained an attractive investment destination, Rao said the IT companies continued to hire and expand in Hyderabad. He said Google would set up its permanent campus in Hyderabad. "An announcement will be made and we will have a MoU soon."
