Andhra Bank's Vijayawada staff turn Munnabhais, protest in front of Nimmagadda Ramakrishna's house

Vijayawada, Jan 22: For the first time, Andhra Bank employees in Vijayawada take to the streets for a different cause. On Thursday, holding placards they turned Munnabhais and staged protests in front of the houses of loan defaulters and told them to pay up the ballooning unpaid loan amounts before the bank goes bust. A group of Andhra Bank employees, including women staff, stood in front of businessman Nimmagadda Ramakrishna and shouted slogans demanding him to repay the loan amount that he had taken but not repaid so far. The striking bank employees claim that Nimmagadda Ramakrishna, who owns Venus Aqua Ltd, vows the bank at least Rs 21 crore. In a similar development, the bank employees staged protests in other places including Warangal in Telangana in front of the houses of politicians and big businessmen.
