CEC confirms India has 83 cr voters

New Delhi, Jan 20: Chief Election Commissioner H.S. Brahma on Tuesday said India has 83 crore voters as of now. He said this is about two crore more than those who participated in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. Brahma said the total number of voters is 'more than the population of Europe'. He said in the next five years, the number of voters could touch at least the 85 crore mark.
