9 journalists arrested on extortion charges
Vijayawada, Jan 19, 2015: Nandigama Police have arrested 9 journalists for posing as vigilance officials and extorting money from lorry owners on the boarders of Krishna and Khammam districts. Police said that these journalists have been illegally collecting money from lorry owners for the last six months. "The arrested journalists included reporters from print and electronic media as well," said a police official.
