World Telugu Conference on Feb 21, 22 at Vijayawada
Visakhapatnam, Jan 18, 2015: World Telugu Conference will be organised at Vijayawada on Feb 21 and 22. AP Assembly Deputy Speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad disclosed this here on Saturday. Speaking at a program where Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah had presented the Lok Nayak Foundation Award to veteran actor and writer Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Buddha Prasad said that all literary wings of the Telugu languages should be fortified and protected further. "Along with our Kuchipudi form of dance, we have to take steps to protect and preserve the Telugu literary forms including the Telugu poetry and Telugu play," he said , adding that the forthcoming World Telugu Conference will discuss steps to be taken in this regard. Supreme Court judge Justice J.Chalameswar, Justice Raghuram and MP M.Srinivasa Rao also graced the occasion.
