Outrage as McDonalds 'denies soft drink to destitute child'

Pune, Jan 17: An outlet of McDonald in Pune is said to have refused to serve a soft drink to a destitute child despite being paid for. The woman who is reported to have accompanied the child inside the restaurant later posted on the incident online. Immediately, the incident sparked an outrage against McDonalds on the social media. The woman is reported to have gone to McDonalds along with her friends. When she saw the destitute child outside the restaurant, she felt like buying him a soft drink. Following which, the woman took the child inside to buy the drink. A McDonalds employee pushed out the boy, saying “such people are not allowed in the restaurant.” McDonald’s India, meanwhile, said it will probe into the case.
