AP, Australia explore trade opportunities

New Delhi, Jan 13: In a bid to explore emerging new opportunities with a view to boost collaboration and trade between Australia and Andhra Pradesh, Oz's Trade and Investment Minister Andrew Robb today held discussions with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Later, Down Under's High Commissioner to India Patrick Suckling told media persons that the relationship between AP and Australia has been steadily growing. Therefore, there is a need to deepen their ties further, he added. Stating that AP is a forward-looking state of India, Suckling said the state has indicated its willingness to do business. Naidu and Robb are believed to have discussed on possible collaboration between AP and Australia in areas like road safety, mining, water, education, infrastructure and dairy. Discussions were also held on how Australia can help AP develop its new capital city.
