Mother complains Sravani killed Chakri, police refuse to file case

Hyderabad, Jan 12, 2015 : After the late music director Chakri's wife Sravani lodged a police complaint against her in-laws saying they have been forcing her to part with the property left behind by her husband, Chakri's mother Vidyavati had also lodged a police complaint against Sravani on Sunday. In her complaint to the police, Chakri's mother had said that her son was murdered by Sravani and sought an investigation. Police however refused to file a case as Chakri had already been cremated and post-mortem is not possible now. Chakri's brother Mahith Narayana told journalists that Sravani had objected to post-mortem of the body."If Sravani had allowed post-mortem of Chakri's dead body, every one would have known the truth," he said, adding she had not agreed for it even though the doctors had said it was a medical-legal case. Vidyavati in her complaint said along with Sravani, her father Madhusudhana Rao and mother Anasuya were also responsible for the death of her son Chakri. "Their role also should be probed," she demanded in her complaint. Jubilee Hills police however said there is no question of registering the case as the body was cremated. "We can't conduct post-mortem now as he was cremated. There may not be any case on their complaint now unless the doctors raise any suspicions on his death, " said a police officer connected with the case.
