Case filed against Chakri's parents on wife Sravani's complaint
Hyderabad, Jan 11, 2015: The Jubilee Hills police of Hyderabad have registered a case against the in-laws of the late Tollywood music director Chakri on Saturday after Chakri's wife Sravani lodged a complaint saying she was being victimized and harassed by her in-laws. Sravani in her complaint said that, soon after Chakris' death, her in-laws began harassing her and laying their hands on the property left behind him. Saying that her in-laws are trying to kick her out of the house and forcing her to hand over the Chakri's property to them, Sravani sought action against them. The Police have registered case against Chakri's mother Vidyavati, brother Mahith Narayana and four others under sections 506 and 498A of IPC for criminal intimidation and domestic violence. It may be recalled that soon after Charkri's death, Sravani had also approached Human Rights Commission saying she was being blamed for his death and the in-laws have been trying to deny her Chakri's property.
