Former BSP MLA offers Rs. 51 Cr cash gift for the Paris terrorists
Lucknow, Jan 9, 2015: In a controversial move, former Bahujan Samaj Party MLA Yakub Khureshi announced a cash gift of Rs. 51 Cr to the terrorists who killed 12 people in Paris in an attack on satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo in Paris. Announcing the cash gift for the Paris terrorists at a press meet last night at Lucknow, Khureshi said that any one denigrating Prophet Mohammad would meet the same fate. This is not first time Khureshi has announced cash gifts to the terrorists. In 2006, he made an open offer that he would gift Rs. 51 Cr to those who would eliminate the person who had drawn satirical cartoons on Prophet Mohammad. After the former MLA made the announcement, BSP in a statement said the party has nothing to do with his announcement and made it clear that it was his personal opinion.
