TS bans use of cell phones in schools, colleges
Hyderabad, Jan 7: The government of Telangana is reported to have banned the use of mobile phones inside classrooms with a view to make schools and colleges cell phone-free zones. The Commissioner of School Education, Telangana is reported to have issued orders to that effect on the last day of 2014. As per the orders, he is believed to have told District Education Officers (DEOs) and other school education officials to ensure that the orders are implemented. The government is said to have taken the decision in order to curb the misuse of cell phones in schools. As such, teachers and students are being barred from taking mobiles phones into the classrooms.
