One dead, 9 injured in gas cylinder blast

Secunderabad, October 26: One person died on the spot while nine others were severely injured in a gas cylinder blast at Doodh Baavi basti in Chilakalaguda on Wednesday. The house was totally destroyed in the blast. Firefighting staff rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
 
The deceased was identified as Narayana Rao, the house owner. His wife and children were injured and were shifted to Secunderabad Gandhi Hospital. About eight houses in the neighborhood also were partially damaged.
 
Police are investigating the incident. Clues team and bomb squad are checking the incident spot. Police are suspecting gas cylinder leakage led to the explosion.
