Smart Village program from Jan 18: Chandrababu

Vijayawada, Jan 1, 2015: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced on Thursday that the government would launch the Smart Village program on Jan 18 to turn all villages into smart ones. Speaking to reporters after offering prayers to Goddess Kanakadurga on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada, Chandrababu said Government will take steps to ensure that pension is granted to the beneficiaries at their homes from next month. "I will strive to ensure development of the state in a manner that would surprise the entire country, " he asserted, reiterating that his only aim is to turn AP into a smart state. Later, he released the Smart Andhra Pradesh document containing the details of his plans to develop the state. The Chief Minister also participated in the New Year celebrations at the Irrigation Department's guest house.
