Bank clerk suspended for embezzling Rs 5 cr

Medak, June 29: Cash irregularities that took place in SBI Narsapur branch, Medka district, came to light late. The bank employee allegedly used the cash for his personal purposes. Narsapur bank officials informed that the amount embezzled would be Rs 5.20 crore. They complained the matter to the CBI officials in Hyderabad. 
 
Bank transactions were not going on fully for the past one week. Once the enquiry is over, transactions will be conducted on full scale, the bank officials informed.
 
When questioned the bank manager Narsaiah about the issue, he said that they have informed the incident to senior officials and enquiry is going on. 
 
It came to know that bank cashier was behind the cash embezzlement and he has been absconding. The bank manager said they have suspended the cashier.
