Vaikuntha Ekadashi: TTD making arrangements at Tirumala

Tirumala, Dec 27: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is making arrangements for the benefit of devotees at Lord Venkateswara's temple in Tirumala for the oncoming Vaikuntha Ekadashi that falls on January 1, which also happens to be the New Year as per the Gregorian calendar. The TTD is making arrangements for the queue enclosure that streatch for at least 1 km. It is also making arrangements for temporary sheds for shelter and food and water facilities for the devotees standing in the queue. The devasthanam also stopped issuing the Divya darshan tickets for those devotees coming to Tirumala by walk from December 29 till January 4. It also stopped all arjita sevas and special dharshans between December 31 and January 2 in view of Vaikuntha Ekadashi and the New Year. On January 1, the Lord will be taken out on a ride on his golden chariot. The TTD is also making several other arrangements on January 2 (Dwadashi) and on other days.
