Hindu outfits up in arms against PK, seeks ban on movie

Hyderabad, Dec 26, 2014: Pro-Hindu organisations are making a hue and cry over some scenes of Amir Khan-starrer PK and lodged complaints with police saying the movie has scenes denigrating the religious sentiments of Hindus. While in Hyderabad an advocate lodged complaint against the movie seeking its ban as it has badly affected Hindu sentiments, some leaders of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) filed police complaints against the movie makers and actors in Mumbai, Nagpur and Sangli. The complaints said the movie has provocative scenes and objectionable content and dialogues and sought an immediate ban on its exhibition. The Hindu outfit has also launched an online campaign against the movie on the leading social media platform Twitter.
