Techie fears threat to life from Facebook, approaches HC

Hyderabad, Dec 24, 2014: A techie approached the state High Court here on Wednesday seeking police protection as he feared threat to his life from the Facebook management. The High Court admitted the petition for hearing and directed the city police to provide necessary protection to the techie Manukonda Pradip Kumar. Pradip Kumar , in his petition, revealed that he once worked in California and attended an interview in Facebook for the post of security analyst in its data center. "When I attended the interview, I pointed out flaws in Facebook data and how they are cheating people to continue in number one position," he told the state apex court in his petition. To avenge this, they have linked him to Al-Queda and created images on Facebook to trouble, corner and victimize him, he argued in his petition. Pradeep said someone had made an attempt on his life with a knife after he returned to Hyderabad. "I lodged police complaint too on the incident ," his petition says. The court adjourned till next week further hearing on the petition but directed the police to provide him security.
