'First come first Darshan' rule for MLAs on Vaikunta Ekadasi

Tirumala, Dec 24, 2014: TTD Joint Executive Officer Srinivasa Raju said here on Wednesday that the arrangements for VIP Darshan of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy on Tirumala for the Vaikunta Ekadasi on Jan 1 have been completed and asked the VIPs like MLAs and ministers to come early to have the Darshan. "We will strictly follow the rule 'first come-first darshan' on the sacred day to avoid unnecessary rush in the last minute," he told reporters. Rooms have already been allocated for the VIPs, he said, adding that ordinary devotees will be provided accommodation in the shelters if rooms are not available. Srinivasa Raju revealed that 10,000 tickets were put on sale on line for those who seek Dwadasi Darshanam on Jan 2 and all the tickets were sold off in one hour amid heavy competition.
