APCRDA bill: Unhappy farmers to approach court
Guntur, Dec 21: Hundreds of farmers of villages including Lingayapalem, Rayapudi and Abbarajupalem are considering to approach the courts against the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) Bill 2014 that was Saturday introduced in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. According to Rajadhani Rythula Samanyava Committee leader M. Harindranath Chowdary, the farmers will be meeting in two days time and take a decision on the issue. Chowdary is reported to have stated that farmers and landowners of Tullur and Mangalagiri mandals in Guntur are unhappy that the APCRDA bill fails to give details on the compensation package for the land pooling in the capital region. The landowner is also reported to have stated that the bill as presented in the state assembly on Saturday favours realtors and not the farmers.
