AP police arrests top naxal leader Chandranna

Hyderabad, Dec 16: Andhra Pradesh police has arrested top CPI (ML) New Democracy leader Chandranna along with 11 members of his dalam and weapons early Tuesday morning near Regulagunta of Bhuttaigudem in West Godavari district, reports said. The police then shifted the dalam leader and his colleagues to Jangareddyguden and are interrogating them. According to sources, the New Democracy unit split into two in West Godavari district and Chandranna's dalam has been active in the district ever since. Sources said, immediately on coming to know that Charanna and his dalam members had gathered near Regulagunta for a meeting, police spread the net and trapped the entire dalam along with their weapons.
