Chandrababu sets up committee to beautify Vijayawada

Vijayawada, Dec 13: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday announced the setting up of a special committee to oversee the beautification of Vijayawada city. Earlier, he made surprise inspections of various localities in the city and told the officials to segregate garbage on the lines of biodegradable and non-biodegradable matter and arrange proper waste disposable processes. For this purpose, the chief minister directed the city Mayor, officials from civic body, R&B and the police to go around the city and draw up plans to bring in appropriate changes. Chandrababu said the beautification of the three canals would be taken up soon and shopping malls and hospitals will be set up in those areas.
