Robbers open fire in broad daylight at realtor's driver, flee with Rs 43 lakhs in Siddipet

In a daring broad daylight robbery, miscreants opened fire and robbed Rs 43 lakhs from the realtor's driver, who was waiting at the sub-registrar office in Siddipet for registration of land on Monday.

According to the police, Narasaiah, a real estate businessman, sold the plot to one Sridhar Reddy. In turn, the latter paid Rs 43 lakh to the former as part of the transaction. Narasimha gave the bag containing the money to his car driver Parashuram.  

All of a sudden an assailant surfaced on the office premises after smashing the car windows, he opened fire on the driver. He then took the bag containing the cash and fled with another assailant, who was already on the bike. Driver Parashuram sustained bullet wounds to the leg. Later, he was rushed to a hospital.

On receiving information, Siddipet Commissioner of Police Shweta said that the case would be solved within 24 hours. She said they were conducting a search with 15 teams to nab the robbers and examining the CCTV footage.
