Lingaa case: Rajinikanth files a caveat to prevent passing of interim orders
Hyderabad, Dec 8: Actor Rajinikanth, who is in Hyderabad today for the theatrical trailer of his film Lingaa in Telugu, is reported to have filed a caveat application in the Madras High Court Bench in Madurai. This was in anticipation of the filing of a writ plea in a case sought by an aspiring filmmaker, who claimed theft of his script for the actor’s movie Lingaa. Counsel for the actor Sanjay Ramaswami filed the caveat with a view to prevent the passing of any type of interim orders without hearing his version. When the aspiring filmmaker's appeal came up for hearing before Justices V. Dhanapalan and V.M. Velumani on Monday, counsel for the actor took notice on behalf the actor and agreed to argue the case on Wednesday as the movie was to be released on Friday and the filmmaker, K.R. Ravi Rathinam, had requested the court to stay its release.
