January date set to begin construction of AIIMS at Mangalagiri: Minister

New Delhi, Dec 8: Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas here on Monday announced that the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of an All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) will begin in January 2015 at Mangalagiri. He made this announcement after holding discussions with the Union Health Minister JP Nadda in New Delhi. Kamineni Srinivas further said that the AP government has so far allocated 190 acres of land for the purpose and added that the forest department is also ready to allocate another five acres of forest land. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Nadda said that funds for the project would be released after a central survey team submits a report on the subject.
