HC gives green signal for Metro works between Greenlands and Shilparamam

Hyderabad, Nov 27: The High Court of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Thursday lifted the stay on the works related to Metro Rail and gave the green signal to the organisation to begin its construction works between Greenlands and Shilparamam. It may be recalled that in 2012 a single judge of the High Court had stayed the Metro Rail works between these two locations after several private societies belonging to Krishna Nagar, Yousufguda and Jubilee Hills filed petitions saying that several important government and private buildings will be damaged due to the works. In response to these petitions, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMRL) filed a counter petition urging the High Court to lift the stay. After studying the case and listening to the arguments of both the parties, the HC has issues orders for starting the construction works as per the master plan of HMRL.
