No immediate plans to withdraw subsidy on LPG: Pradhan

Jamshedpur, Nov. 25: The central government has no immediate plans to withdraw subsidy on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), clarified Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan here on Tuesday. Pradhan is also reported to have stated the issue of who should get subsidy and who should not needs to be debated threadbare before taking a decision to implement it. On Friday, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is reported to have said the central government was considering removal of subsidy on LPG for rich consumers.
