Cheque Bounce Case: Court grants bail to Jeevitha

Hyderabad, Nov 24: In what appears to be a major relief to actress-turned-politician Jeevitha Rajasekhar, the Erramanzil court in Hyderabad has granted her bail in the cheque bounce case on Monday. The court granted bail to Jeevitha after she paid the fine of Rs 25 lakh and completed the formalities. Earlier on Monday, the court sentenced Jeevitha, while responding to a petition filed by producer Shekar Reddy stating that she gave Rs.22 lakhs cheque to him for a settlement of loan taken to make ‘Evadayithe Nakemiti’ movie. The court had also directed Jeevitha to furnish a personal bond of Rs 25 lakh and two sureties of the like amount. A few hours later, Jeevitha approached the court and paid the fine. The former actress is reported to have cried on the premises of the court and claimed that she was innocent.
