TS freedom fighters' statues to be installed in AP capital: Naidu
New Delhi, Nov 22: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here on Saturday announced that his government was planning to install the statues of former prime minister PV Narasimha Rao and other Telangana freedom fighters like Komaram Bheem, Chakali Ilamma and Doddi Komaraiah in the new capital city of AP. He made this announcement after approving the hunger strike taken up by Telangana TDP leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu. Chandrababu then said that the foundation for the Shamshabad airport was laid by his party and in 2009 itself the party had made a promise before the assembly elections to name the airport after late NT Rama Rao. He questioned TRS for not raising an objection on the issue at that time itself.
