Shamshabad airport row: TS assembly passes resolution opposing NTR's name

Hyderabad, Nov 21: Telangana Assembly on Friday unanimously passed a resolution opposing the renaming of the domestic terminal at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad near Hyderabad after late NT Rama Rao. The MLAs belonging to Telangana Rashtra Samiti and Congress party supported the resolution, which was moved by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in the legislative assembly. Moving the resolution, the chief minister said the Telangana assembly is condemning the Centre for not consulting the State government before changing the name of the airport's domestic terminal. The Assembly passed the resolution requesting the Centre to change its decision and continue the name as it was earlier.
