AP minister rubbishes rumours on privatization of APSRTC
Hyderabad, Nov 20: Brushing aside speculations on the issue of privatization of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), AP Transport Minister Siddha Raghava Rao on Thursday announced his government has no such plans. Speaking to media persons, the minister said that the government also has no plans to merge APSRTC into the state government. Stating that the government aims to enhance the working potential of APSRTC, the minister said that by March 2015 an additional 1080 buses will be purchased. He also confirmed that the government plans to form a special team to check illegal transport services in the state.
