New twist to KBR shoot out: Gunman used AK-47 that belongs to Grayhounds
Hyderabad, No 19: The AK-47 used by the unidentified gunman during the shoot out at KBR Park in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning actually belongs to Grayhounds, revealed City Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy.
He said last year Narsingi police had registered a case of theft after the AK-47 had vanished, the police commissioner said and added that the gun found at the scene of crime on Wednesday can be identified as the missing AK-47.
He also said that police had taken possession of eight bullet shells from the crime scene at KBR Park.
Stating that the gunman must have planned the attack in advance, the police commissioner said he will reveal the full details after completing the investigation.
It may be recalled that Nityananda is an accused in quid pro quo investment case of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The trial in the case is likely to begin soon in the Nampally CBI court.
The quid pro quo case allegedly refers to investments worth crores of rupees made by several private companies and individuals in Jagan’s businesses in exchange for alleged favours during the tenure of his father, late YS Rajasekhar Reddy as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minster.
