Gajwel municipality will be Developed--Pragnapur to get water in 10 days: Harish Rao
Hyderabad, May.15: Irrigation and Marketing Minister T Harish Rao today said that Gajwel Municipality will be developed with all facilities as Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keen on its rapid growth. He was touring the constituency as part of some developmental programs and announced funds to be released for the facilities.
He said that Pragnapur village will get water in 10 days and all other problems would be addressed. At a public meeting, he appealed to the women folk not to waste drinking water being brought from Karimnagar district to Gajwel. The Minister said that every house in Pragnapur will get safe and potable drinking waters by May 25. Pointing out how the women used to leave the taps and pipes open after use into drainage lines or fields, he said such step will cost them dear. The women should use adequate waters they want and stop the taps once they use it and avoid wastage as the water precious as we are spending about Rs 300 to Rs 400 for each connection. The minister announced funds to various works in the village including Rs 2 crore for construction of CC Roads, drainage lanes, Rs 10 lakhs for community hall, develop Vura Cheruvu as mini tank bund, Rs 25 lakhs for Mahila Bhavan and Rs 50 lakhs for Vaikunta Dhamam.
The minister unveiled Ambedkar statue at Pedda Arepalli village in Rayapol mandal near Siddipet. Harish Rao appealed to the youth to follow Amedkar ideals and continue their studies for better future. The government is giving top priority for offering education to the people which is key for development and progress of the society. KCR has started 120 Gurukul Schools for the cause of people of all sections and it is for their parents to encourage their children to learn, he said. The minister further stated that the projects will be completed on a war-footing to transform the state into a green belt. Suicides by the farmers will come down when the irrigation projects are completed and crops get waters adequately on time. The Government is determined to complete the projects though the opposition is coming in the way, he added.
