Good demand for Telugu films for Hindi dubbed versions
After the stupendous success of ‘Bahubali’, which was dubbed into several Indian and foreign languages and which had collected over Rs 1,000 crore across the globe, the demand for Telugu films has gone up. Especially, there was a good demand for the star heroes’ films like ‘Duvvada Jagannatham’ of Stylish Star Allu Arjun and ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ of Young Tiger NT Rama Rao to dub in Hindi languages.
The Hindi version rights of DJ were sold at Rs 8 crore while that of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ were sold at Rs 10 crore. It may be mentioned here that there is good viewership for dubbed Telugu films in Hindi channels and they used to earn good TRP ratings. Hence the buyers are confident of recovering their investments. Despite ‘Katamarayudu’ is a disaster in Telugu that film too became a biggest money spinner in Hindi, as Pawan Kalyan had good fan following among the north Indians.
