Kannadigas put off row over Bahubali2

The Kannadigas displayed a shubham card to their protest against the release of Bahubali-2 featuring Satyaraj in a key role called ‘Kattappa’. The Karnataka outfits have announced before the media about their decision to withdraw their protest making the way clear for the release of the film in Kannada. Vatal Nagaraj, who led the protest said that their federation has agreed to drop the protest following the apology given by Satyaraj regretting his comments which he made sometime ago on Cauvery water dispute.

At the same time Vatal Nagaraj cautioned Satyaraj not to use derogatory remarks against Karnataka or else he will have face the wrath of their outfits. It may be recalled here that Bahubali 2 is slated for release on April 28 across the globe. It may be mentioned here that Rajamouli had earlier appealed to the Kannadigas not to show ire on their film just because Satyaraj is just an actor in their movie and his remarks have nothing to do with their film.

However, they did not succumb to his plea. Keeping the welfare of the distributors and exhibitors of Karnataka in view, Satyaraj had expressed his regrets over the remarks he made against Karnataka on Cauvery waters issue. As the Karnataka outfits’ demand has been fulfilled with the apology of Satyaraj, they dropped the protest and assured the smooth release of the movie in Karnataka.
