‘2.0’ postponement gave breathing space for many

Did Amir Khan and Ajay Devgan know before hand that Shankar-Rajani’s combo ‘2.0’ is going to be postponed to January next year? Aamir Khan had earlier put off his upcoming movie ‘Secret Superstar’ from August 4 to October 19. Likewise, ‘Golmaal Again’ of Ajay Devgun too confirmed that their film would hit the screens during Diwali season.

In fact, Rajani’s ‘2.0’ is expected to be released on October 18. But its release date was put off to January 25 next year. As if they know the postponement these two big heroes have announced their films’ release in October without fearing the lavish extravaganza of Rajani. Surely, they can’t compete with such a heavy budget film and the popularity of the south Super Star.

Not only this, the postponement of ‘2.0’ gave a big relief to many big films in south as well. Because ‘2.0’ is put off to January, Ajit starrer Vivegam can be moved for Diwali season safely, giving scope for the bilingual release of Mahesh-starrer ‘SPYder’ a breathing space. However, ‘Duvvada Jagannatham’ announced that the film would hit the screens on June 23. However, Nani too locked the same date for the release of his film ‘Ninnu Kori’ on the same day. If sources are to be believed, SPYder is likely to hit the screens in mid-July or on August 4.
