‘Simhadri’ story penned with Balakrishna in mind
Here is an interesting news. It is well aware that popular director SS Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad is one of the best story writers and he penned subjects for several hit movies. Of all those movies, he said that he liked Balakrishna’s ‘Samarasimha Reddy’ subject very much. In a chitchat with the media, he revealed that at times, he used to write a story by keeping a particular hero in mind. However, he is forced to narrate the same story to another hero. When that situation arises, he makes some minor changes here and there to suit his image.
Giving an example, he spoke about ‘Simhadri’ movie. In fact, Vijayendra Prasad penned the story keeping Balakrishna in mind. At the time of writing the story, Vijayendra planned three heroines in the film. However, the story was supposed to be narrated to NTR, so he made some minor changes and removed one of the heroines in the original subject. Finally, ‘Simhadri’ remained a blockbuster in the careers of NTR and Rajamouli. NTR had gathered mass image with this film and the film had earned more fan following from the mass audiences. After that NTR continued to maintain the same mass fan following though he tried to experiment with different kinds of subjects of which some of them are message-oriented stories.
