Muslim Quota bill will doom TRS govt: BJP
Hyderabad, April.13 : The BJP considers TRS Government decision to table the bill for 12%Muslim reservations as a self-goal and a beginning of the end for TRS government in Telangana State. “This decision is illegal, unconstitutional and aimed at deceiving Muslims and OBCs”, it added.
Chief Minister KCR in his desperation to earn the 12.68 % of Muslim votes in Telangana State is indulging in misadventures not just in violation of constitutional provisions for no reservations on religious basis, but also in full violation of Supreme Court order to not exceed 50% outer limit for reservations. The unthinkable is that CM KCR in the process of drawing more castes from Muslims and adding them in OBCs with E category is hugely diluting the already diluted and not fully implemented OBC reservations. It amounts to directly snatching away the reservation benefits to over 51 % OBC population in this state. BJP believes very strongly that CM KCR’s misadventures will sink the TRS ship in the next elections.
The BC organizations across the state have already denounced this desperate act of CM KCR. They understand this decision is aimed purely for Muslim votes & are up in arms against KCR for denying them of their constitutional right for reservations, by diluting them with addition of Muslims into their reservation quota through a back door categorization. BJP considers this petty vote bank politics is an insult to the architect of Indian Constitution & reservations Dr.Ambedkar, as it belittles and reduces the real basis for reservations & makes it as a mean tool to acquire vote banks for political parties.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in the process of providing constitutionality to protect the rights of OBC’s through the new BC Commission the Indian Government is proposing, CM KCR is busy snatching away OBC’s their rights through irrelevant, illegal & unconstitutional additions to their reservation quota for his political expediency. TRS party will pay for this misadventure by CM KCR. Neither OBC’s nor OC’s will vote for TRS party which is playing ‘Reservation Politics’ with the religious card, in the next elections. Muslims in Telangana also understand the ploy, as this bill will never see the light of the day. This bill can never stand the scrutiny of courts & judicial review.
TRS will very soon face the piquant situation of ‘Na Ghar ka, Na Ghat ka’ with this decision. BJP will oppose this cheap ‘politics over reservations’ by TRS and will teach a lesson to this opportunistic party by exposing it right from the village level in Telangana State.
