US minority community felicitates Shabbir Ali
Hyderabad, April.10: Mohammed Ali Shabbir, the leader of opposition in the Telangana legislative council, has been felicitated today by the Minority community of Chicago, USA for his yeomen service to the Muslim community in the realm of welfare, education, employment and skill development for Muslim youth .
During his visit to US on the invitation of Indian minority communities living in US, Minority leaders and well wishers among American community lauded his services as a minister, MLA and Opposition leader, striving for uplift of the poor and delivery of anti-poverty programs to the genuine beneficiaries in the community .
Speakers at the solemn event also highlighted the contribution of Shabbir during his tenure as NRI minister in AP cabinet, when he went out of protocol to get release of Telangana youth and poor languishing in jails for the mistakes of job brokers and middlemen .Many NRI who are in need of Government assistance have approached him and got benefited.
In his thanks giving speech, shabbir accepted the honors with humility and explained how he could coordinate support in government to achieve four per cent reservation for Muslim youth in jobs and get 1,20,000 boys and girls obtaining for professional courses He said he strived without compromise to get political reservation to Muslims and thereby ensure that many community leaders could get elective posts to serve the society .
Earlier the Shabbir along with Khan Lathif Khan, Editor in Chief of prominent Urdu daily, Munsif visited lake Michigan and enquired about amenities and infrastructure for boating and fishing which could be replicated in prominent lakes of Telangana like Husseinsagar and Gandipet.
