Harish Rao inspects arrangements for TRS meeting at Hanamkonda

Hyderabad, April.8: Irrigation  Minister T Harish Rao today said he was fortunate to work under the leadrship of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is giving top priority for welfare and development. He said the Congress and Telugu Desam parties are closed chapters and there was no future for them. Along with Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari and other leaders, Harish Rao inspected the arrangements being made for TRS Formation Day celebrations to be held on April 27 at Hanamkonda.
Addressing the TRS extended meeting later, Harish Rao said the people gave a lot of support to the TRS through membership drive. He urged the TRS leaders and activists to make hectic efforts for the grand success of the TRS formation day celebrations. He also charged the Congress with creating obstacles to developmental programs in the State. The Congress was the only party in the country that was out to cause obstacles to irrigation projects by moving courts with false cases, he fumed. While Telangana is a role model in the country in welfare sector, the Congress could not digest it, he charged.

Harish Rao said under the able leadership of KCR, the State government was making all-out efforts for empowering the weaker sections, deprived classes and the poor in the State. Telangana is No 1 State in the country for successfully implementing welfare schemes by spending huge funds. But the jealousy Congress and TDP were unable to digest the rapid development fearing their extinction. The Opposition parties were bent upon maligning the image of the government to protect their identity, he added.

Harish Rao said the State government was offering uninterrupted nine-hour power to agriculture and came up with a plan to empwer caste-based families like fishermen and Yadavas. As many as 200 residential schools with English medium have been opened for Muslim Minorities across the State in addition to 130 similar schools for other classes, he stated. He also said KG-to-PG scheme was launched much to the delight of the poor in the State while the Centre was appreciating the TRS State government’s initiative.

Deputy Chief Minister for Education Kadiam Srihari said the KCR Government was focusing on Warangal development with plans in various sectors. He called upon the rank and file to make efforts for the success of the public meeting of the TRS formation day. The party leadership is expecting some 15 lakh people to join the program. Arrangements for parking and facilities are being made in a 200-acre site at Prakashreddypet in Hanamkonda.
