Bungalow eviction notice unfair: Chiranjeevi

Hyderabad, Nov 14: Describing as unfair the notice issued by the Central Public Works Department asking him to immediately vacate his official bungalow in New Delhi, Rajya Sabha member and Telugu actor K Chiranjeevi said he was ready to vacate but he needed a decent living space. Earlier, the parliamentarian is said to have been allotted the 5-Tughlaq road place. However, the MP claims that house is not in habitable condition. He is reported to have said that there is no electricity and other facilities at 5 Tughlaq Road. The actor-turned-politician said that eviction notice could have been justified if he was the only person hanging onto the present house, which was not the case. He claimed that only he and the former Defence Minister A K Antony were asked to move out while other former UPA ministers continue to stay in the same bungalows. Stating that it is due to the negligence of the Urban Development ministry, he said its unfair to tell him to vacate. He said there may be a pressure to allot his present bungalow to someone else. In which case, if he is told to leave, he said he would be helpless.
