Telangana to hold Inter exams from March 9 to 27, 2015
Hyderabad, Nov 14: Telangana government has taken a decision to conduct Intermediate examinations from March 9 to March 27, it was announced here on Friday. Earlier, Telangana government had rejected the suggestion made by Andhra Pradesh Education Minister to hold the exams jointly. Telangana government has decided to hold Intermediate examinations separately for its students. On Thursday, while releasing the schedule for Intermediate exams to be held in 2015 AP Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao informed media persons that he had written to his Telangana counterpart urging him to consider holding the Inter exams jointly. Citing the 10th schedule in AP Reorganization Act, he asked Telangana government to cooperate in conducting the Intermediate examinations jointly for the two states. However, the Telangana government has been firmly against the idea and had been since beginning keen to hold the examinations on its own. In this connection, the government said it was ready to face any legal battle if required. Meanwhile, Telangana Education Minister Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy has issued orders to the state's Board of Intermediate Education to prepare a separate schedule for conducting examination in 2015.
