Rajani, Kamal set stone for Nadigar Sangam building

Vishal is basically a Telugu youth and his original name is Vishal Krishna. He is the son of GK Reddy. His brother Vikram Krishna used to produce the movies. Born and brought up in Chennai, Vishal became a hero in Kollywood after studying in Loyola College in Chennai. Not only an actor, Vishal also produced some films. Most of his Tamil films were also dubbed into Telugu and some of his films such as ‘Pandamkodi’ were super hit in Telugu as well. Recently he was elected to the Nadigar Sangam as the secretary general.

Till now the Nadigar Sangam (movie artistes association) has no building of its own. So, Vishal vowed that he will not marry till the Nadigar Sangam gets a building of its own with an auditorium to hold big meetings etc. The foundation stone for the building was set at Abibullah Road in T Nagar in presence of the Nadigaram Sangam president Nazar, and secretary general Vishal at 9.50 am on Friday. Several top film personalities such as Rajanikant, Kamal Hassan, Ajith and several other actors such as Sivakumar, Satyaraj, Vijaykumar, Surya, Simbu, Arun Vijay, Sibiraj, Udaya, senior actresses, Saroja, Sarada, Kanchana, Vyjayanti Mala, Latha, Sheela, Dhansika, Kovai Sarala, Varalakshmi Saratkuar and other artistes besides several stage artistes, directors, producers... why name a few the entire film industry had attended the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajanikanth and Kamal Hassan stated that an own building for Nadigar Sangam is a long pending dream and in order to complete it on time, we will extend our cooperation. Once the building construction is completed, the first function to be held in the Nadigar Sangam would be Vishal’s marriage, opine the people in the film industry.
