VH stages dharna at Raj Bhavan

Hyderabad, April.1 : Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao today staged a flash dharna in front of the Raj Bhavan and tried to barge into it demanding that Governor ESL Narasimhan not to administer oath to defected MLAs. On Saturday, VH staged a flash dharna in front of the Raj Bhavan along with Congress party activists. The police obstructed VH and arrested him along with activists.

Speaking on the occasion, VH alleged that the Governor committed a mistake by performing oath taking ceremony for the defected MLAs. In Telangana, the Governor committed such mistake by performing oath taking ceremony to the TDP MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who joined TRS after getting elected from TDP. He said that the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh state was getting ready to provide Minister posts to the MLAs, who joined TDP from YSRCP. He demanded the Governor not to perform oath taking ceremony to the YSRCP MLAs, who joined TDP, in Andhra Pradesh state and not to kill the democracy.

He asked the Governor not to commit a mistake in Andhra Pradesh state too as he already committed in Telangana state. “I will urge the President of India to dismiss the ESL Narasimhan from Governor post in case Narasimhan performed oath taking ceremony in Andhra Pradesh too”, he said and made it clear that the Congress party would wage a movement for the protection of democracy.
