58 lakh farmers are eligible for loan waiver in AP
Hyderabad, Nov 13: The list of eligible farmers under the loan waiver scheme has swelled to 58 lakh in Andhra Pradesh and all those eligible have already submitted the necessary documents for verification, announced AP Planning Board's Vice Chairman Kutumba Rao here on Thursday. The remaining eligible farmers can submit the details of their Aadhar and Ration card till this evening, he said. He also said that bankers were asking for an additional day for uploading the list of eligible farmers on their websites. Chief Secretary of the state I.Y.R. Krishna Rao is scheduled to discuss on this issue on Friday evening. Kutumba Rao advised the farmers eligible for farm loan waiver to check their names in the lists that are uploaded by the bankers and approach the respective banks along with their loan documents for getting their loans processed. If they do so, the farmers will receive 20 per cent of their loan amount in the first batch of disbursements itself, he clarified.
