Diesel, petrol prices to be cut
New Delhi, Nov 12: Diesel and petrol prices are to be slashed by close to Re. 1 per litre by Saturday on the back of sliding global oil rates. This could be the seventh cut in petrol prices since August and the third in diesel rates since its decontrol in October. State-owned fuel retailers Hindustan Petroleum Corp (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corp (BPCL) and Indian Oil Corp (IOC) are likely to revise rates of diesel and petrol on Saturday. Petrol price was last cut by Rs. 2.41 a litre on November 1. On the same day, the price of diesel was also reduced by Rs. 2.25 per litre.
