Nothing new in Guv’s speech: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad, March.10 : TDP Telangana party said there was nothing new in the Governor’s speech in the Assembly.
Speaking to the media, State party working president A Revanth Reddy said the speech of the Governor was like a policy document of the government. Though the Governor, in his speech during last year session mentioned about programs like double bedroom scheme, reservation to the minority, SC and ST welfare, but in this year’s budget there was no mention of these subjects.
He said the government by not convening State cabinet meeting for giving approval for the Governor’s speech has made a mockery of the system. Terming the Governor’s speech dismal, he said there was no mention of problems prevailing in the State in the Governor’s speech, the TDP leader said.
The BJP also commented that the Governor’s speech was like old wine in new bottle. There was no clarity in the Governor’s speech about the employment and no details of how the State government was spending funds received from the Centre, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy said.
