Governor speech full of lies, No mention of DBR houses, three-acre land, BC sub-plan: Jana Reddy
Hyderabad, March.10 : Alleging that the Governor was reading the same text prepared by the government for the past three years, Congress Legislature Party leader K Jana Reddy said there was no mention of double bedroom houses, three acre land to Dalits & tribals, BC Sub-Plan in the Governor’s speech. Therefore, they were constrained to stage a walk-out to register their protest against the State government’s failure to keep its poll-eve assurances.
TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said the government failed to mention power generation during previous Congress government. Accusing the government of making the Governor to speak “utter lies”, Uttam said investments were coming in a big way through ‘Ease of Doing’ Business. The Governor’s speech contains wrong figures. It was unfortunate that the State government carved out 31 districts in a big way, he said and pointed out that the government had stated in the last session that the GDP decreased, but now the same government made the Governor to say the GDP increased. The agriculture sector was in crisis in the State, he said and alleged that though the State government was in the first place in corruption, there was no mention of political corruption in the Governor’s speech.
The leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the State has miserably failed in all sectors and asked the government why it failed to mention about BC Sub-Plan in the Governor’s speech. The Governor routinely read out the budget speech in favor of the State government, he said and alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has once again deceived the people of Telangana.
